Freedom of Will

We humans have the freedom of will to choose how we want to use our conscious faculty. We can either (1) do something strategic to downregulate the speed of automation of our life in which case our semi-automatic subconscious emotions and ego identity get under the control of our conscious faculty, or (2) leave it alone in which case our subconscious emotions and ego identity enslave our conscious faculty in strategizing to serve their needs.

The former leads to a life of purposefulness, self-fulfillment, self-actualization, self-realization and connection, while the latter to an empty life of momentary pleasures, purposelessness, self-centered survival, loneliness and division.
